Dear friend of Lois’ Lodge,
Because of your prayers, Lois’ Lodge has been provided with an opportunity to continue to use our current Maternity Home setting for at least another year. What a tremendous blessing this has been for our ministry. Thank you to Central Church of God for your continued partnership in serving these women. We are continuing on with our capital campaign in order to raise the necessary funds needed to acquire property to assure that the ministry will continue on way into the future. It is our goal that no women in the greater Charlotte area or beyond, will feel like their only option is to have an abortion.
We have lost the use of the three smaller homes which were available for our use in the Dilworth area. As a consequence we will be leasing property to house our offices and to allow for the redevelopment of our Mom Shoppe. The Mom Shoppe program was invaluable for moms in the community in need of learning experiences, counseling and items for their children. We are excited about reopening this program!
Please prayerfully consider investing in the future of this ministry by making a donation to allow for the current operation of Lois’ Lodge and a special donation to our property fund. The funds donated to our capital campaign will be used to develop a new location to allow Lois’ Lodge to continue to serve our residents and expand our services to the local community. Please help us to demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways to those in need. Today, would you please join those who have contributed or raised $1,000 for Lois’ Lodge? Mark the enclosed envelope with directions regarding the use of your donation. Thank you for joining us in accomplishing God’s purposes at Lois’ Lodge.
Most Sincerely,
Debbie Durrell, Executive Director
Lois' Lodge
$1,071,600
Recently we learned that properties being used by Lois’ Lodge are going to be put up for sale. In order to continue our existing operations we need to raise $1,071,600 by June 30, 2010.
Intimidated? A little…... however, we can already see God’s Hands at Work and we are viewing this as an opportunity and a chance for all of us to experience miracles and wonders in a way that our flesh can’t comprehend.
With this new development, Lois’ Lodge is going to be able to move even closer to securing the future operations of this ministry without being dependent
on others for the use of property. We believe hearts will be touched, support will rally, this need will be met and that the women and families served by
Lois’ Lodge will continue to receive love and care way into the future.
$1,071,600 is a big number. There is an old saying that goes: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” Lois’ Lodge is asking everyone to help us take a bite out of this elephant. We are launching a campaign called Lois’ Lodge 1000. We need 1,000 supporters to each help us to raise $1,000 or more by June 1, 2010. This can happen through sacrificial giving in our time of need. This can happen by pursuing a company match for your donation. This can happen by asking your friends, your family, your pastor and Sunday School class and others in your life to help. This can happen by selling the stuff in your garage and attic that you never use. This can only happen through prayer and action.
If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:15-17
We need you. Yes YOU! Please prayerfully consider how you will be able to commit to helping us. Please start today. Please use this commitment form and make a $1,000 donation. Please start calling your friends. Please discuss this need with your pastor. Please schedule a yard sale individually or with your church or place an ad on Craig’s List to sell those items you no longer need. Please write a check and show your love for these women.
