Dr. Mike Johnson, Carolinas Medical Center, Hospitalist and Specialist in Infectious Diseases is a member of the Lois’ Lodge board of directors. He says the following about Lois’ Lodge: "Lois’ Lodge is a safe, loving environment where the focus is definitely on caring for both the woman and her unborn child. I would encourage anyone to keep it in mind if they are dealing with a pregnant woman in a situation that isnt ideal. It’s a fantastic ministry."

Rarely do you find one facility that cares for the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of a woman and her unborn child. The staff of Lois's Lodge provide a safe, stable environment for a wounded heart to heal and an uncertain future to find direction.

“The Christian physician of the sanctity of life necessitates both prohibitive and promotive behavior.  It is not sufficient merely to prohibit abortions, we must also promote the birth and care for children conceived outside of marriage, and the nurture and development of the young mothers who choose life rather than abortion.  Lois’ Lodge is such a ministry.  Here, a young woman is protected, encouraged, and provided for while she prepares for motherhood and a Christ-centered life.  I fully endorse Lois’ Lodge and their vital mission, and would encourage others to invest in this life-saving and life-transforming ministry.”

One visit to Lois' Lodge is all it takes for you to know what that place is all about. I volunteered at LL for about a year and everytime I walked through the doors I felt like I was in my own home. The warmth, kindness, and hospitality of everyone affiliated with the Lodge is absolutely genuine. All of the staff and volunteers make sure the Lodge is a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere for women experiencing crisis pregnancies. I can't speak highly enough of Debbie and of all the wonderful volunteers I met at LL. Every home should be as full of God's love as Lois' Lodge is. It's such a special place...and I miss the wonderful times I spent there!     Megan Hanks, Public Affairs Manager- City of Rocky Mount

My name is Kelvin Smith and I am the lead Pastor of Steele Creek Church of Charlotte.  I would like to recommend Lois' Lodge ministry.  Lois' Lodge embraces a Christ-centered philosophy where young women can be cared for spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically as they await the birth of their unborn children.  The staff at Lois' Lodge provides a protected, secure environment for these women who may possibly be facing an uncertain future.

There isn't a week that goes by that we don't think of Lois' Lodge and the vital role they play in empowering women to do what they know is right.  In an imperfect world, single moms face great challenges and we are so grateful that hands of support, such as Lois' Lodge, are now in place helping them find the courage.

In the years since it's inception, Lois' Lodge has become well known throughout the state of North Carolina as a safe haven for pregnant women who are experincing a life crisis.  It has been a privilege to have worked closely with Lois' Lodge since 2002 when they first opened their doors to serve expectant mothers.   Since that time, we at Christian Adoption Services have witnessed the life changing effect that Lois' Lodge has had on numerous young women who were in need.

The staff of the maternity home endeavor to fulfill more than just their client's temporary needs.  Women who stay at Lois' Lodge are not only provided with the basics of food, clothing and shelter, but their spiritual needs are addressed by professional Christian counselors as well.  The staff is also diligent to personalize services that support clients with their medical, education and employment needs.  With a varied program, clients are provided unbiased counselors who are able to help women make and follow the plans that they consider best for their unborn babies and themselves.

The staff of Christian Adoption Services is grateful that Lois' Lodge can be a referral program for pregnant women who are in need of our services.

Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte works closely with Lois' Lodge as they seek to provide a safe place for women experiencing unplanned pregnancies.  Lois' Lodge offers both residential services through their maternity home and non-residential services through their Mom Shoppe.  Their programs directly compliment the opportunities provided through our organization.  Lois' Lodge is a faith-based ministry that teaches Biblical principles for managing one's life.

Lois' Lodge has the ability to work with families on a long term basis. They provide support through the course of the prenancy and continue to work with families after the child is born.  Their professional staff customizes programs to meet the unique needs of individual clients.  They facilitate opportunities for moom sto continue their edication and to become gainfully employed so that they are able to provide for the needs of their unborn child.

Lois' Lodge depends largely on the support of churches and individuals to underwrite the costs of their ministry.  They also receive funding when it is available for eligible clients.  They are very concerned about being good stewards of the funds that are provided to them.  They have been in operation since 2002 and are well respected in the community.  Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte often refers clients to Lois' Lodge and values the services which they provide.
