The Mom Shoppe
|
Using the nationally known “Earn as You Learn” program the Lois' Lodge Mom Shoppe is able to enhance the learning process for families experiencing unplanned pregnancies by giving them a chance to earn Shoppe Cash for doing things that will positively influence their future and the future of their child. The Shoppe Cash can then be used to purchase items for the baby such as diapers, formula, cribs, car seats, etc.
Families earn “Shoppe Cash” by going to classes to learn about subjects such as parenting, cooking, adoption, health care, or career skills. Homework will be given which, upon completion will earn rewards of Mom Shoppe currency. These opportunities are availiable to the residential clients residing in the Lois' Lodge Maternity Home and to non-residential clients residing in the community. The goal of this program is to provide our clients with items for themselves or their babies while teaching them to be responsible and to work toward their goals.
