Individual Opportunities

Volunteers are very important to the opperation of Lois' Lodge. This is a listing of current volunteer opportunities. If you do not see an opportunity that meets your interest and talents, please check back with us  as our needs are continually changing and growing.

 

Maternity Home Volunteers
Crafts: Teach and do crafts with our residents. Availability requirements: as needed, once or twice per month.
 
Relief House Mom: This volunteer is trained to fill in when our staff needs time off. Duties include providing supervision and transportation of residents as necessary,  and maintain order of the household. Must be spiritually mature, able to maintain confidentiality and able to model godly principles. Availablity requirments will vary.
 
Mom Shoppe Volunteers
Instructor/Teacher: Willing to teach classes for clients either using a curriculum provided by LL or by developing your own. Subjects include childbirth, Lamaze, parenting, job skills, finance, healthy relationships and more. Availability requirements: As needed. Please let us know what subject(s) you are qualified for or interested in teaching. 
 
Other
Office/Administrative Support: General office skills needed, including answering phones, filing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Availability requirements: 1 - 2 days per week from 10-3
 
Cleaning: Help create a healthy and positive environment by providing cleaning of Lois’ Lodge Office, or Mom Shoppe.
Availability requirements: 1 time per month.
 
Maintenance: light maintenance, may include building shelves, installing locks, fixing small stuff around our homes.
 
Website Administrator: This volunteer will keep our website updated using our website program.
 
Marketing/PR: Help develop and execute a marketing strategy for Lois’ Lodge. Find creative, no/low cost ways to promote and educate the community about our ministry.
 
Special Events: Take part in planning and executing special events, including Community Yard Sale, Walkathon, Banquet and potential new events such as a golf tournament. Special event volunteers may choose to take a leadership role, or assist.
Availability requirements: As needed.
 
Fundraising: Help raise needed funds for operating expense, special events and special needs. Availability requirements: Ongoing, as needed.
 
Speakers Bureau: Are you a gifted public speaker? These volunteers represent Lois’ Lodge at church and community events.
Availability requirements: As needed. May require evening or weekends.
 
Volunteer Coordinator
This volunteer would assist the Development Coordinator in screening potential volunteers, training and scheduling individual volunteers as well as overseeing volunteer groups. Availability requirements: 2 to 3 hours per week. Flexibile schedule

Volunteer Community Coordinator
Volunteers are divided into “communities” based on their area of service. The community coordinator will help coordinate volunteer efforts and schedule service. Also help recognize and encourage volunteers through thank you notes, birthday cards and assisting with appreciation events. Availability requirements: Ongoing, as needed.
