Volunteers are very important to the opperation of Lois' Lodge. This is a listing of volunteer opportunities. If you do not see an opportunity that meets your interest and talents, please check in with us as our needs are continually changing and growing.
Maternity Home Volunteers
|
Resident Coordinator Assistant: An individual who assists Lois’ Lodge Resident Coordinator (house mom) by providing assistance and supervision of clients while RC is performing other duties or running errands. Duties may include helping residents prepare meals, supervising as residents complete assigned tasks. Availability requirements: As needed. Typically in the evening between 4 -8pm.

Relief House Mom: This volunteer is trained to fill in when our House Mom’s need time off. Duties include providing supervision, transportation of the residents as necessary and to maintain the order and structure of the household. This volunteer must be spiritually mature, able to maintain confidentiality and model godly, biblical principles. Availability requirements: Vary

Tutor: Willing to provide tutoring services to residents to supplement their school work. Availability requirements: As needed.
|
|
Craft/Fun Night Coordinator: With the support of a volunteer team, develop and coordinate the planning of fun events for the residents (ie/ Crafts, beauty and pampering nights, birthday parties, game nights).
|
|
Craft/Fun Night Volunteer: Willing to serve on the Craft/Fun Night Committee and to facilitate recreational activities for residents.
|
|
Mentor: The mentor provides spiritual guidance, prayer support, friendship, a positive example, a listening ear, and trusted companionship for the resident. The visits usually occur once a week during evenings or weekends. Additional training and support offered for this opportunity.

|
Donations Coordinator (Maternity Home): This volunteer will sort and organize donations at our maternity home. Willing to develop contacts in order to acquire donations. Coordinate delivery or pick up as needed. Willing to maintain inventory or donations and work with Development Coordinator to assure proper acknowledgements occur. Availability requirements: 1 to 3 times per month.

Aftercare: We occasionally have clients that need a place to stay after they complete our program. Volunteers can offer short-term, transitional housing.

Mom Shoppe Program Volunteer
|
Curriculum Facilitator: Plan and facilitate classes for residents of Lois’ Lodge. Facilitators lead clients through programming on a variety of topics. Availability requirements: 1 day per week, 2 - 3 hours.

Mom Shoppe Organizer: Willing to help keep mom shoppe organized. Sort donations, stock shelves, keep staff notified about shortages or overages, clean donated items as they are received. Assist clients in redeeming their coupons. Empty trash and pick up as needed.
Availability requirements: At least 1 day per week, 4 hours.

Development Volunteer
|
Website Administrator: This volunteer will keep our website updated using our website program.
|
|
Communications Specialist: Assist in communications with both the media and friends of Lois’ Lodge. These efforts would include press releases and quarterly newsletters as well as promotion of special events.
Marketing experience is a must.
|
|
Special Events: Take part in planning and executing special events, including Community Yard Sale, Walkathon, Banquet and potential new events such as a golf tournament. Special event volunteers may choose to take a leadership role, or assist.
Availability requirements: As needed.
|
|
Fundraising: Help raise needed funds for operating expense, special events and special needs. Availability requirements: Ongoing, as needed.
|
|
Speakers Bureau: Are you a gifted public speaker? These volunteers represent Lois’ Lodge at church and community events. Availability requirements: As needed. May require evening or weekends.
|
|
Church Coordinator: Coordinate liaisons at churches that will provide information about services offered by Lois’ Lodge, special needs and events.
|
|
Church Liaison: Serve as the liaison between your church and Lois’ Lodge.
|
Administrative and Other
|
Yard Work: Maintain property to assure an attractive appearance. Mulching, fertilizing, planting seasonal flowers, leaf and tree management.
|
|
In Kind Donation Administrator: Involves administrative work entering donations into a tracking sheet and writing thank you notes.
|
|
Office/Administrative Support: General office skills needed, including answering phones, filing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Availability requirements: 1 - 2 days per week from 10-3.
|
|
Cleaning: Help create a healthy and positive environment by providing cleaning of Lois’ Lodge Office, or Mom Shoppe.Availability requirements: 1 time per month.
|
|
Maintenance: light maintenance, may include building shelves, installing locks, fixing small stuff around our homes.
|
Prayer
|
Prayer Coordinator: Willing to disseminate the prayer needs of Lois’ Lodge to prayer team through prayer chain and via Lois’ Lodge social media.
|
|
Prayer Team: Willing to commit to pray for the entire ministry of Lois’ Lodge (residents, volunteers, staff and board).
|
